ZoeStanleyArts and I are back from Anime Los Angeles and I have to say that it was quite an experience.
Sorry if I don't really have much pictures... BUT HERE'S a silly photo that Zoe took of me at my table.
Now for those who are asking if I was successful... I'd say it depends on what you mean by that.
Before I answer that question, I have to say that I came to this artist alley VERY UNPREPARED. I had no vertical displays and most of my things were confined to a small table space that was 3"x2". So my table wasn't the most attractive looking and it made browsing kind of hard for people. However Zoe and I did our best to attract people to take a look by simply complimenting cosplayers, saying "hi", or chat with them. If it wasn't for that, my table would have been REALLY lonely (well it was on the first day). Also nice that Zoe decided to cosplay and attract some Homestuck folks lol.
BUT to keep it short... I didn't really sell much of my merchandise. :/
HOWEVER, I do have to say that on-site commissions went WAY BETTER THAN EXPECTED and I had so much fun doing them. I'd say that was my biggest success. While sitting around, I doodled a lot in a sketchbook which attracted some people who wanted commissions. The commissions I did were either OC's or characters from games and anime. BUT one thing I did not expect was some folks asking me to draw furries lol. While I don't really draw furries, I did anyways for these commissions and it was fun experimenting on that.
At the convention I was also able to meet some awesome people. Big shout out to
, and doodlur .
I might be missing some folks... BUT I FORGET! SORRY!
BUT see you guys at another convention!
I really want to attend more artist alleys in the future and I'll learn from the many mistakes that I did in at this one. I'm looking forward to go to Comikaze, WonderCon, and Comic-Con some time.
AND considering how I didn't really sell much of my merchandise, I'll be opening up a webstore to sell my prints and t-shirts
I'm pretty sure I'll keep thanking you again... BUT THANKS, ZOE, for being my assistant!
Good news is that I got my drive to draw back and I feel GREAT! Hopefully I'll still have time to make and upload more content.
I'll be submitting some convention doodles and commissions I did on DA some time later!
