Here's my next pinup for this year! And she's a devil girl YOU people love my devils/succubi!
I actually had her sketched out a month ago. She started off as a doodle that I did at lunch break. Considering how I work at a t-shirt shop, I thought of drawing some cheesecake goodness of a girl tugging a TIGHT t-shirt on. She was a normal human girl until I gave her devil horns and a tail. And that was when I decided to sort of bump her measurements UP a notch because... WHY NOT?
Bumping her measurements up a notch did not come without challenges though! I had to make sure they looked right or else they would have looked like basketballs stuffed inside a shirt! The key to making them look right? LOTS OF DEEP STUDYING that would make you feel like closing your doors and curtains LOL!
Aside from all the studying, I went on to color this piece differently than what I initially had in mind. She was just going to be crimson skinned with black attire with the background being like a hellpit. That changed when I messed around with the colors of the highlights and then I decided to make her skin more a pastel pink to go with the blue and purple.
I seriously need to make an influence chart but I don't know where to start. Too many influences for one small chart, ya' know?
Turns out when I met the dude, he was super chill and we had a good time and conversation. I got him to sign my book and check out/critique my work. TWAS AN AWESOME DAY!
Only thing I forgot was to get a pic with him... OH WELL! lol
All well, there's always next time I guess for a meet... and a chance for you to get a pic. I mean he's gotta leave Australia some time, right? It's a giant floating desert with the most dangerous snakes on the planet for Christ's sake!
I think I remember him talking about working on a graphic novel, is he still at it or is it out?
My IRL buddies did point out this pinup was a bit racy for me as well! I guess she's more on the sexy side than my typical cutesy girls.
She's not in a hell-pit, so this place must be colder lol
Also, the lineart fells so natural, great as always !
