Done for a Kanto Pokemon collaboration.

I was stuck between picking Zapdos or Scyther. I went with Zapdos but ended up changing it to Scyther because he seemed more interesting to draw. Also Scyther was always my favorite bug Pokemon back in Gen 1. Designers went NUTS on this guy! Too bad his typing is just terrible for matches :/
I did some experimenting with styles on this one. I ended up going with my typical bold lines while also just adding dark shadows to him. Rather than HOOK HAIR, I gave him HOOKED SCYTHES! For some reason I made him look like a Megaman boss... And now I think I should draw a MECHA SCYTHER along with SCIZOR. I should draw more POKEYMANS with this style!
