Random Beach Girl by hooksnfangs Random Beach Girl by hooksnfangs
I wasn't going to upload this piece since I DON'T REALLY LIKE IT... BUT HERE YOU GO!

What's wrong with it? I put too much thought into a piece that was originally was just going to be a QUICK & SIMPLE one. And when those thoughts got to me, I ended up getting pessimistic because I changed things and then reverted them back. IT HAPPENS. I'll get back to normal :)

This is pretty cool.  I love the edgy hard line quality.

I like her despite your misgivings. Also, that seagull rocks. :)

How did you do the rays coming from the sun there?  Did you have a template or did you work from your head on it?

Hmmm, I'll need to learn to do that because there were a few times when I needed a more even pattern like that but couldn't quite get it right.

But it's probably because I"m using photoshop.

Illustrator is better for such vector shapes, but you can do the same with Photoshop (which was what I used)

Well not really since PS is pixel based. But you get some smooth n fine lines with it!
You can make vector paths with pen and shape tool. You can even copy those paths into Illustrator.

So, which do you think would be a better suited tool:  Illustrator or Photoshop?
