I've been sort of on a Blizzard kick thanks to Heroes of the Storm, so I felt like drawing one of their characters.
I felt that I should draw a character that I've never drawn before, and that was Lady Vashj.
I actually have not drawn many other Blizzard characters before, BUT why Lady Vashj out of all others? I just find her desing to be VERY uniqe and she was always one of those characters that stuck out to me. She's aquatic, has a snakey half, snake hair, and multiple arms! There were just MANY possibilities with those features that I couldn't ignore! But I have to say that she took me a long time to draw!
Positioning all her arms to suit a pose was the hardest part. I ended up starting her off with a simple pose of a woman with her hand on her hip while the other goes straight down. It looked a bit sassy and I decided to roll with it since it was rather easy to position her other arms. I also simplified her armor and bow so it was easier to draw. Despite the simplifictaions, this piece still took me quite a lot of time. CRAZY LINEWORK, SHINEY GOLD, and SCALEY COLORING took me a long time.
Overall I had lots of fun with this piece. I was quite exhausted after working on this piece since I only took a break between doing the linework and coloring.
I feel as if I tend to put lots of time on SCALEY characters much like these pieces...
Also be sure to check out my Bloodelf Warlock I did some time ago! Still one of my favorite pieces!
Lady Vashj is a property of Blizzard. Let's hope she gets in HotS!
