Hooked Hela

I forgot to upload this after finishing it since Wondercon 2018 got me busy (and due to other reasons discussed below), but here ya go!

I've always liked Hela's design because she's black & green, has that SPIKY headpiece, and that evil is sexy trope.
After seeing Heladriel in Thor: Ragnarok I've always had an itch to draw her. Once I began gathering ideas and sketching her out, I was damn excited to work on her!

However this is another one of those pieces: The longer I worked on it, the longer I started hating it. -_-
Why? Life and work had me working on and off on this piece. I ended up feeling very bitter towards it and myself.

And OF COURSE I don't hate it now because that initial hatred is over. She got a good response from folks at Wondercon and I think the SPIKES look pretty! So it's all good. But you know... The artist inside me says I could have done better and that it's still lacking something. Seriously I'm a High Expectations Asian Father to myself.
